Question about using shim (secure boot)

Hello, I've read the Arch wiki article on this but I'm a bit confused. I want to use shim + key for secure boot on my system but from what I understand it will only launch an EFI binary named "grubx64.efi", is that correct? I couldn't find much clarification elsewhere.
