Yeah, so I was installing arch linux and I am stucked at the very beginning of configuring the network. So here is my problem. I have read some wiki pages and videos on internet and none of them is useful for my specific case so here I am posting my problem. I am a noob in arch linux so don't be too harsh on me if I have messed up okay?
First dhcpcd doesn't work. I have a static ip.
I have set up my Ethernet port with ip and default gateway. That much works. Now I need to set up DNS. How so? Dunno.
And also even if I have setup my DNS somehow I gotta give additional login information that I usually give in my web browser by pinging a specific address like"10.254.254.84/0/up" And after the site has been loaded it asks me for my username and password only then am I able to access the web.
Now being the noob I am how am I supposed to get done all this things in shell? And no I don't have wifi access and again dhcpcd doesn't work. Gotta do it manually.
