[SOLVED] Can't boot into windows

I messed with grub-customizer because i wanted to set an image as background, making sure to run os-prober before and check so that windows was displayed as an option

After I reboot and select windows it gives me an error

 invalid EFI file path

Now when I open grub-customizer i can't find windows there anymore. And when closing it without me making changes it tells me the config file was updated.

What is the output of lsblk -f   ?

Re: [SOLVED] Can't boot into windows

I mean it is  there, I can boot into windows just not from grub. I am sorry I didn't make that clear.
If I press <ESC> before grub starts i can boot into windows.

anyway given this lblk-f output might not be useful but here it is

Re: [SOLVED] Can't boot into windows

Now when I open grub-customizer

Please post the actual grub config.
Do you have os-prober installed and does it find the windows partition?

Re: [SOLVED] Can't boot into windows

this is the /etc/default/grub file. I have os-prober installed but idk how to check if it is detecting the windows partition, when i just run sudo os-prober it doesn't give me an error.

Re: [SOLVED] Can't boot into windows

Usually there should be only one EFI system partition on the drive. You have two.

Re: [SOLVED] Can't boot into windows

If I can choose to boot into windows when I press <ESC> I think it means that the EFI isn't broken it just isn't linked in the grub

so how can I add a new boot entry (or use the one I already have which doesn't work)  which boots the other EFI (nvmen1p1?)?

Re: [SOLVED] Can't boot into windows

Mount all partitions you want involved somewhere, so your linux esp your windows esp and the root file system of your linux and have os-prober installed and regenerate your grub config. It doesn't matter where you mount it but you need to mount the ESP somewhere that os-prober can detect it needs to add another entry.

I also want to know, why does the picture I set not work?
in the /etc/default/grub file i specified the path to a picture and it just won't display it, for some reason it displays a yellow screen instead

https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/GRUB/T … tmap_fonts
GRUB_BACKGROUND="/home/additional_pumpkin/Downloads/grubification.jpg"

/home is probably not an available path.

In general, please don't create shopping list threads, but open one thread per topic/problem.

Edit: And also please always remember to mark resolved threads by editing your initial posts subject - so others will know that there's no task left, but maybe a solution to find.
Thanks.
