[SOLVED]How to install libwnck 3.36.-=1

This is a follow up to https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=266678, in which the cells of the WorkspaceSwitcher are unworkably small.

It turns out that this is a known issue.  indicated here :
https://github.com/mate-desktop/mate-panel/issues/1230, specifically

   
In short: "Reverting from libwnck3 40.0-1 back to 3.36.0-1 restores proper aspect ratio"

So I need to revert
libwnck3 40.0-1 (currently installed) to 3.36.0-1. Simple enough but  I'm running into problems.

- I haven't found a way to make pacman install 3.36 so

- I downloaded it from github/ But now the README of the install says to follow the instructions in the INSTALL file.

But since there is no INSTALL file in the download ... I'm lost here.
