Hi there,
I was not working with spyder for a while. However, for a journal publication I have to get some of my python scripts running again to post-process some data from the lab quickly. Unfortunately, it crashes when I try to open it.
The error has been reported before on bugs.archlinux. From what I understand, the error was corrected upstream already github. However, the package in the Arch repositories is still out of date.
From would I read on the bugs.archlinux page, I can repair this bug when installing (and building) spyder. But I was wondering how exactly I have to do this? I didn't find anything in the Wiki on the pacmans page. I have installed packages from the AUR before. So I am wondering if it is the same approach? Should I just download the pkgbuild from the source edit the lines as explained/linked by loqs on the bugs.archlinux site and then install it manually via pacman just as it was a pkgbuild from AUR?
I appreciate your help!
