HDMI no sound on Lenovo ThinkCentre M70 SFF

After fresh system installation on 10th April the sound has worked fine for a while. Since a few weeks I have no sound any more via DisplayPort (HDMI). I assume that an update raises up the problem. But I'm not sure which one, since I use the sound only sporadically.

The analog outputs front and rear are working fine but nor of digital outputs, two DisplayPorts and one HDMI.

Here is what I found:

togo@idefix:~$ sudo dmesg | grep snd

A test with default device produce no sound but with the specified device, I got an error. The same test with headphones connected and default device works as expected.
