[SOLVED] remote: error: package already provided by [community]

Hi, I adopted the xkcdpass package on AUR and am trying to push an update with the latest upstream version but the AUR backend seems confused.

vith@vith-8700k-arch ~/c/a/xkcdpass (master)> git push
Enumerating objects: 7, done.
Counting objects: 100% (7/7), done.
Delta compression using up to 12 threads
Compressing objects: 100% (4/4), done.
Writing objects: 100% (4/4), 636 bytes | 636.00 KiB/s, done.
Total 4 (delta 2), reused 0 (delta 0), pack-reused 0
remote: error: package already provided by [community]: xkcdpass
remote: error: hook declined to update refs/heads/master
To ssh://aur.archlinux.org/xkcdpass.git
! [remote rejected] master -> master (hook declined)
error: failed to push some refs to 'ssh://aur.archlinux.org/xkcdpass.git'

When I go to https://archlinux.org/packages/communit … /xkcdpass/ (had to manually craft this URL) I see:

xkcdpass 1.17.6-1 has been removed from the [community] repository.

It's been like this for a few days now. How to proceed?

There's a bug with AURweb right now: https://gitlab.archlinux.org/archlinux/ … /issues/11

Edit: sticking this topic for the time being

I am having the exact same issue with updating package 'pdf2djvu'

 $ git push
Enter passphrase for key '/home/user/.ssh/aur':
Enumerating objects: 11, done.
Counting objects: 100% (11/11), done.
Delta compression using up to 4 threads
Compressing objects: 100% (8/8), done.
Writing objects: 100% (8/8), 902 bytes | 902.00 KiB/s, done.
Total 8 (delta 4), reused 0 (delta 0), pack-reused 0
remote: error: package already provided by [community]: pdf2djvu
remote: error: hook declined to update refs/heads/master
To ssh://aur.archlinux.org/pdf2djvu.git
! [remote rejected] master -> master (hook declined)
error: failed to push some refs to 'ssh://aur.archlinux.org/pdf2djvu.git'

Looks like this has been resolved. Today my git push succeeded for xkcdpass.

Great. Please remember to mark your thread as solved by editing the first post and amending the topic title.

Mod note: unsticking topic.
