I upgraded to kernel 2.6.18 and now the eject button on my DVD drive doesn't send the 'eject' command. Any ideas?

I have this on one machine and not on another.
For me, it seems the player gets locked by a media application (ie kaffeine or noatun). The button seems to work until after I play something from the disk.

This is brand new for me. For a very long time pressing the eject button successfully sent the 'eject' command. This happened with the last big upgrade (kernel, hal, udev). Now I have to manually un-mount the drive.
