Unable to change screen resolution of tty

I installed Arch on VirtualBox VM.
I am using GRUB as my bootloader.
My host machine runs Windows 10.
3D acceleration is disabled for my VM.

I want to change the screen resolution of my tty.
I was reading VirtualBox/Install Arch Linux as a guest - ArchWiki - Set_optimal_framebuffer_resolution.
Here, the process for setting optimal resolution for virtual console for users running X is mentioned.
I do not plan on installing X.
However, I did try and set my kernel parameter

video=1792x1008

following this link - Kernel Parameters. I also re-generated my grub.cfg.
However, my screen resolution seems to be unaffected.
Can someone please help me to change the resolution of tty.
If there is already available documentation, i request you all to point me to it as I was unable to find any docs on arch wiki or this forum.

"man fbset", but you can't pick random resolutions.
Check "hwinfo --framebuffer" and "videoinfo" for supported ones.
