Hello, im just generated my gpg keys, installed pass and generated passwords for my services etc... I dont have another pc, i dont connect to my pc remote way.. nothing just a simple user... I have 2 storage disk, one sdd where is my Arch and windows os and another HDD where i store my stuff.
So.. i wanna backup my gpg keys and my passwords generated with "pass". I read and i think is enought to backup ".password.store" dir for my generated passrwords..
(I just need backup for the day i will format and reinstall arch for import and i can read my passwords)
But with gpg keys i read the wiki, other tutos and in one saids u export ur keys with .asc file extension gpg -a --export-secret-keys >myprivatekeys.asc another guide saids u need to do with gpg --export-secret-keys > ~/myprivkey.gpg with gpg file extension, another i read is with .key file extension.. so arch wiki uses .asc .. I wanna know wich is the most updated or trusted way..
And another noob question, i need to backup the whole .gnupg dir or just innecesary if i export my priv, and public key, trustdb file and revocate file. Thnaks..

Filename extensions are irrelevant, you could call it myprivatekeys.foobar if you like. As for the -a flag, you can read the man page if you'd like to know what it does, but with or without the -a flag can work - you just might need the appropriate flag for importing again after the format.
