[Solved] Headphones not detected

I have a pair of USB headphones that I've used for well over a year with mycurrent arch install. Yesterday they suddenly just stopped being detected while in use and I can't figure out why.
I am unaware of anything I can do to trouble shoot, and the guides I've followed told me to do things like reboot, power off and on again, and to reinstall alsa/pulse. None have worked...
Any idea what I can do to fix this issue?

Re: [Solved] Headphones not detected

What does "not detected" mean exactly. In most cases this happens because your installed and booted kernel diverge. Post

sudo dmesg | grep usb
sudo fuser -v /dev/snd/*
aplay -l
pacmd list-cards
pacman -Q linux
uname -a

in

[code]output here[/code]

Re: [Solved] Headphones not detected

What I mean is the headset isn't visible when plugged in. There is no indication that anything was plugged in at all

sudo dmesg | grep usb =

you indeed have a few complete failures to enumerate certain devices, but that's also a lot of devices for a single USB bus, you're potentially overloaded/don't have enough power. You should have a second bus, have you tried using different USB ports or unplugging a few devices? Are you using a usb hub of some sort? Did this start with a certain update? Install usbutils and post

lsusb
lsusb -t

have you tested whether the headset itself is ok, does it work on another system?

Re: [Solved] Headphones not detected

I installed and ran usbutils, lsusb, and found all the usb devices except for the headset.
So I plugged everything except for the headset out, and still nothing. I then plugged it into a different pc, which also did nothing... So It looks like it is my headset that's the problem
Thanks fr your help
