Hello,
so I used blueman-applet successfully for quit a long time with my old bluetooth headphones. Now I have new ones (Earfun Air Pro) and somehow if I try to connect it instantly disconnects. The phones talk to me while connecting and they do basically tell me "Connecting... Disconnecting...".
Sadly I'm not very sure how to debug this and where I can get more information on the errors. The only error I saw was "Connection Failed: Input/output error".
How can I debug this?

So The following changes made it work:
1. installed pipewire as described in https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/blueto … a_Pipewire
2. there's a bug in bluez so I installed bluez-git from the AUR and removed /var/lib/bluetooth
3. I also added my user to lp group because I read about it somewhere but I can't see why that would help - just wanted to mentione it.

You don't need bluez-git right now, the current 5.60 version of bluez has the original issue fixed.
