[SOLVED] What do I map XF86AudioPlay to in xbindkeys?

Hello,

I've been configuring my Fn key combos using xbindkeys and I want to map XF86AudioPlay to stopping/starting audio sources (like a video on youtube).
It's just that I have no idea what command to map it to and I can't seem to find it anywhere...

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Mute/unmute, presumably.

Muting/unmuting turns off the sound but doesn't stop the sound source.
Best way I can explain what I mean: I'm trying to find a way to be able stop the audio and resume it without actually clicking the stop/start button on the player (regardless of the player), so it can even be some player in the browser.
Pop!_OS had that enabled by default and I'm trying to enable it on Arch.

This is not possible as every "player" can do something entirely different.  You could map it to start / stop videos in a given browser, or to start / top videos playing in a given video player, but there is no general purpose signal to do this for any / all players.

Sounds like playerctl is perfect for your use case. You may want to read https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/MPRIS as well.
