[Solved] Why is alacritty not transparent?

I have https://pastebin.com/q3EuxerJ as my settings right now and on line 327 you can see that I set the opacity to 0.75 but it still is black to me.

What are you using as your desktop environment / window manager? It has to either include a compositor (make sure it is enabled) or you have to run your own like picom.

I am using xmonad and I know it should work because on my other setup it works just find and I use the same wm.

You need to run a compositor as well:
