Two Problems: Loss of Sound due to Citrix and Desktop Sharing in Teams

Hello,

I seem to have a couple problems.

1) I installed MS Teams from the AUR and I can't seem to share my desktop. I have laptop, extra monitor setup. Other users in Teams only see a black screen and a idling circle when I attempt to share either screen.
2) Citrix seems to take over my audio after a while and then YouTube doesn't work. I kill the Citrix process and pulse audio and then restart it and everything works again in YouTube, but then MS Teams doesn't have any sound. Also I have to reconnect to Citrix again.

One issue per thread please, the citrix issue looks simplest so let's start with that.

Check https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Citrix#Audio_Support

Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.
Did you use the guided installer ? If yes, I can't help you.

(A works at time B)  && (time C > time B ) ≠  (A works at time C)

Unfortunately, they seem to be kind of related.

I have tried the information in the link that you suggested but that didn't help me.

It seems that if I connect using Citrix, after a while. the pulseaudio stops working at some point. At what point I don't really know.

When it does I run the command fuser -v /dev/snd/* and get the following:
                                     USER             PID  ACCESS COMMAND
/dev/snd/controlC0:      anonymous    719 F.... pulseaudio
                                     anonymous  82983 F.... wfica
/dev/snd/pcmC0D0p:   anonymous  82983 F...m wfica
/dev/snd/timer:             anonymous  82983 f.... wfica

At this point, dummy output shows up in my sound settings.

The only way to get around all of this is to kill pulseaudio (pulseaudio -k), kill Citrix (wfica) by PID, shut down MS teams and then restart pulseaudio (pulseaudio --start), Citrix and MS Teams.

That is the work around. I'm not sure what happens to the sound device and how they all interact to make it stop working.

Regards

Is pulseaudio-alsa installed ?

What is the content of  ~/.ICAClient/wfclient.ini ?

Yes, pulseaudio-alsa is installed.

The contents of the file are whatever the defaults are I believe. At least, I don't remember changing it:
