I installed retroarch and libretro packages through pacman in Arch on my HP Gaming Pavilion 15 Laptop.
Using Gamesir T4w wired gamepad in X-input mode.
Problem : I couldn't see any menu option to enable to device vibration /haptic feedback in the retroarch menu in Input section. Tried both before and after loading a core (Beetle & HW for PSX), and still couldn't find the option. I've waded slowly over each menu option but it seems that menu option is missing.
Everything is up to date (yay -Syu).
I've searched online but couldn't find any post about missing menu option regarding the feedback/vibration.
Yes, I've read the Arch gamepad wiki, and there's nothing about this problem there (i.e. menu to enable vibration/haptic feedback missing).
Any pointers will be helpful. Thanks.

There's no explicit menu option for vibration in RetroArch. Instead, it's supposed to work implicitly when you set your controller type to "DualShock" in the input options while the Beetle PSX core is running. Make sure that your controller driver is set to udev (which should be the default, I think)
I just briefly tested this using my 8Bitdo SF30 Pro in Xinput mode and it works.

Thank you for the reply.
Not sure if the xboxdrv was interfering, but after removing the package (xboxdrv), now vibration works.
I'll mark this as solved.

Just shorten the title to somethjing like [Solved} Retroarch - no device vibration / haptic feedback
Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.
clean chroot building not flexible enough ?
