I just did something cringe. So I was cleaning my system with ncdu and as I was deleting files inside cache/ folders I may have accidentally deleted packages from important files while not paying attention. I definitely deleted files from /var/cache/pacman and /var/cache/man but I may have accidentally deleted files from /var/lib/pacman or anywhere else while not paying attention. This is the output of my terminal when trying to re-install binutils: https://pastebin.com/2MwnP3Q8
Please help, I am going to have to turn the laptop off soon enough. Am I safe to turn it off? Do I need to back up my files?

Sounds like you may have corrupted pacman local database , see https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Pacman … l_database .
powering down (or rebooting) should be fine.
Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.
clean chroot building not flexible enough ?
Try clean chroot manager by graysky
