[helprequest] Basesystem then kde install

couldnt find anything with links, abit hard to see websites etc for information here.
I installed basesystem, did the update thing and then did pacman -S kdebase.
But when its finished I cannot run kdm or kde. "command not found".
Any help appriciated (tried searching, sorry if i suck at it).

Re: [helprequest] Basesystem then kde install

First, you have to configure Xorg (either by using xorgconfig or by autogenerating xorg.conf using hwd tool, pacman -S hwd). Execute "startx" to check whether it works properly.

Then, if you want kdm, the easiest way to go would be to add kdm daemon to /etc/rc.conf and to avoid reboot, start it manually by executing "/etc/rc.d/kdm start". And from within kdm you'll be able to start KDE.

And then whole world lies under your feet.
