Hey guys,
currently, on my Thinkpad X1 Carbon 6th Gen, there is no sound. The Fn-Key is locked and I can't seem to unlock it. The LED is on permanently.
I can switch it on and off in the UEFI Firmware Settings.

The "F1" output (likely along the Fn key?) indicates a passiv grab on the key (ie. a global shortcut) - it's likely bound to some™ action, but that doesn't toggle the mute.
What's the output of "amixer" and your complete system journal (sudo journalctl -b) and "lspci"?

I created

options snd-intel-dspcfg dsp_driver=1in it.
Now the LED is off, but there is still no sound. Is that what the thread was trying to tell me?

There seems to be an inverted behavior for
Simple mixer control 'Auto-Mute Mode',0

The desired behavior would be to have sounds from the speakers when the headphone is *not* plugged and the speakers to be silent when they *are* plugged.
But that's not the current behavior, is it?

That is the current behavior.

The jack might just have been jammed, reading a ghost plug (there's a spring inside) and you released it w/ the plug.
Please always remember to mark resolved threads by editing your initial posts subject - so others will know that there's no task left, but maybe a solution to find.
Thanks.

It happened to me also. What I have done is firstly to turn off the light:
sudo vim /sys/class/leds/platform::mute/brightness
and change the value to be 0.
Then the key F1 works again and I can use it to turn on and off speaker again.
