Dell 7550 - TB3 is "Unknown Device" in fwupdtool

Hey all,

Didn't know what header this would belong under, so I took a random stab at it.

I'm running a Dell Precision 7550, Arch /w latest updates.

Randomly had the thought of checking my BIOS/firmware versions to see if there were updates.
And there were. Learned and read up on fwupd and gnome-firmware. Check fwupd.org

https://fwupd.org/lvfs/devices/com.dell … 0.firmware

Opened gnome-firmware, clicked "System Firmware", hit "Show Releases" button. clicked on latest (1.8.0) installed and rebooted.

During the BIOS update after the reboot, progress bars of all the components getting installed, no errors popped up. Thought I was good to go.
Get back into Arch, my TB3 dock isn't working anymore. Checked my TB settings within gnome-settings.

No Thunderbolt Support
Thunderbolt security level could not be determined.

Rebooted to BIOS, verified TB3 was enabled, it was...
Originally thought, crap, my dock sh*t the bed. Decided to look at the fwudp and its tools.

fwupdmgr get-devices
                        https://pastebin.com/xbP8gnDA

fwupdmgr shows nothing about any TB3 device, but i tried all the other tools and got this

fwupdtool get-devices
                       https://pastebin.com/6QffuaWJ
                       *First entry is the error

Thought, Ok, the update did mess up, I'll do a reinstall via gnome-firmware. No dice

Tried deciphering and trying different combos of that error message on Google, but to no avail.

Sooooo...... Any thoughts? Or maybe try downgrading further (1.7.0), or wait until Dell finally releases a new-er firmware? My only machine right now, and don't want to brick it... just yet

This is after multiple reboots, installs, package updates, and trying the figure out what the hell happened.
First time requesting help with an issue on Arch, anything else I need to provide, please let me know.

Cheers
