So I'm seeing the following errors when I run Opera, and web pages cannot update:
ERROR:network_service_instance_impl.cc(331)] Network service crashed, restarting service.
I've seen that this error can be related to Chromium too, but Chromium is working.
I deleted .config/opera and .cache/opera, and got the same results.
I've switch to using Firefox which works fine, but have been using Opera as my everyday browser, and would prefer to keep using it.
TIA for any help.

I downgraded to the previous version of opera and the opera-ffmpeg-codecs and opera runs fine so I'll use the older version for a while.
Version that failed: opera-78.0.4093.112-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst
Version that runs: opera-77.0.4054.90-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst

Change /etc/nsswitch.conf
From
hosts: files mymachines myhostname resolve [!UNAVAIL=return] dns
to
hosts:files mymachines myhostname dns resolve [!UNAVAIL=return]
look https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php … 2#p1983772

Thanks, that fixed it!
Let me amend that a bit - some web sites are still not totally happy as the web pages are not loading well, but I will investigate the nsswitch.conf settings and see where that leads me.
