[Solved] Login - Graphical issues

Hey people!

Got a problem here with my logins. I am using SDDM and KDE. I've got an ultrawide screen (5120x1440) and when logging in, I get some heavy graphical issues: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/ … -33-31.mp4

It never happened before, but as I started to switch resolutions for the game "Heroes of Hammerwatch" this problem started appearing. Interestingly, when setting my resolution of the screen to a 16:9 res before logging in, everything works fine. I can even set the resolution back to ultrawide afterwards again. This issue now sometimes even appear when the screensaver went on and I'm waking it.

I have no clue what is going on. Maybe someone of you might know what's happening here?

I already tried to swap resolutions and other settings in KDE, but had no success.

GPU: RX 6900 XT

Check ~/.local/share/kscreen and the output of "xrandr -q", esp. if there's an interlaced version of your preferred mode

Re: [Solved] Login - Graphical issues

You, sir, are a legend. Thank you so much. That was actually exactly what I was looking for.

So apparently there have been 3 configuration files, one with my regular resolution + refresh rate (5120x1440@120hz), one with a "halved" resolution, because I can split my screen (2560x1440@100hz) and one with... 1024x768@75hz.... and I suppose this is the one that has been loaded in, every time I logged in. Now that I swapped the resolutions in that file with my regular one, it just works.

Also I'd like to say that I had to swap the resolution of the config file in the "output" folder as well. Just if someone needs some help there too.

Thanks a lot, seth! smile
