How to a second laptop as a second secreen for main laptop?

This answer https://askubuntu.com/a/750497/1389593 gets me to the end without any issues.

But I can't use the mouse as I expected.

Expected:
It should travel to the second display when mouse goes over the screen
What happens: The screen moves over. What ever should be displayed on the second screen slides into the main laptops screen as I push my mouse into the edge of main screen.

How do I solve this?

One way i found is to combine two xservers and use that. But i can't find stuff about it.

what are my options to use the second laptops screen as an extra display?

Hi,
I use

Barrier which works perfectly, but doesn't  give exactly a second monitor
