Someon get working evdi with displaylink on a Arch Linux Kernel 5.13?
Or someone knows when the new version is coming?
Is very annoying that isn’t part of the kernel.
I have a dockingtation and dosen‘t work proberly.

It‘s freezing by every change of resolution or changing main screen.
I have a Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Extreme and Dockingstation USB-C to USB A also from Thinkpad.
Either i have a USB Switch from Manhatten to change from Server to second Laptopsscreen.
I can’t find any errors.

I will try tomorrow. Now is time to sleep.
When i boot i have after plymouth bevor gdm two black screens but lightet so they have a signal.
When i pull in the usb-c connector after boot and want activte the second screen in settings it does freeze.

Is this an optimus system or that modesetting the displaylink provider?

Is setting the ouput provider source what freezes the system?

Last but not least: try w/o gnome (e.g. startx + openbox) - it's possible that either the second X11 server running GDM or the mutter compositor stumble over the appearance of a new provider.
