SD card suddenly not automounting in Gnome/Nautilus

I'm having an issue where SD cards are not mounted automatically in Nautilus Gnome. If I have Nautilus open when I plug in a card, I see something in the sideview get mounted for a fraction of a second before it disappears again.

This issue has arisen suddenly. I'm not sure when, but everything was working fine a few months ago.

I am able to mount the card manually, so the SD card reader seems to work fine. Other types of media also does seem to automount without issue (I've only tried a GoPro over MTP).

I've tried to Google the issue, but can't find anything helpful, and I'm a bit lost to how to start troubleshoot this.

Re: SD card suddenly not automounting in Gnome/Nautilus

Hello, since you use Gnome, have you tried using the "disk" utility? It can be installed as gnome-disk-utility.

There, you can set the SD card to automatically mount. It can be a workaround.
