Periodic crackling/static sound from microphone

I recently got myself a USB Sound Card as the internal card wasn't working appropriately and it was working fine on Windows but apparently on Arch there is a periodic "pulse", the gain maxes out and you hear a crackling/static every second. It is very uniform and happens every second. Not sure what is causing is. Any help is appreciated.

Could you fire up your machine with an Ubuntu 21.04 iso or something similar and see if the issue still persists?
