[SOLVED] Keyboard and mouse not properly recognised

My fresh installation of archlinux (it's a dual boot along with Windows 10) doesn't seem to recognise well the keyboard and the mouse on my laptop Toshiba Satellite Pro C50-H-106. Basically it doesn't recognise the "right button" function of the touchpad, and it doesn't load the keyboard layout for British keyboards, even though it's set up to the UK layout.

How can I fix these issues?

Output of $ localectl -status:

System Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8
VC Keymap: uk
X11 Layout: n/a

Re: [SOLVED] Keyboard and mouse not properly recognised

You've only configured the UK key map for the TTY, you need to configure it for X as well if you want it to work in a graphical environment.

No, it didn't "fix" anything. It just shifted the brokeness one space to the right. - jasonwryan

Re: [SOLVED] Keyboard and mouse not properly recognised

Great, thanks both. I wasn't aware that the keyboard has also to be configured for the X server. I set it up with localectl, as explained in the documentation.

I will mark this as solved and create another post for the issue of the mouse.
