Add a widget to disable camera temporarily

In windows, I can open up device manager and disable the camera from the device manager, essentially disabling any Windows/Browser app from even being able to detect one. Whenever I need it, I simply enable it again from the device manager, and it works instantly. Kind of like how we can disable the Mic using the KDE volume widget in Arch Linux

Can something like that be done for camera?

You could change permissions to make it unreadable, write a toggle script and launch from a desktop shortcut.
