[SOLVED] Pulseaudio not recognizing sound card anymore

I am running an up-to-date system with Linux Arch and KDE.
My problem is simple:
I was hearing some buzzing noises from games ran with wine, so I searched the web and found that doing
    pulseaudio -k
    pulseaudio --start
Should help. So I did, and now Pulseaudio doesn't recognize my Xonar DG audio card anymore. But alsa seems to do so.
Any idea to why?

Re: [SOLVED] Pulseaudio not recognizing sound card anymore

Depending on which context you ran that in something will have stolen access to the device from under pulse, check

sudo fuser -v /dev/snd/*

for the culprit.

Re: [SOLVED] Pulseaudio not recognizing sound card anymore

This is the output for sudo fuser -v /dev/snd/*:

                   USER PID ACCESS COMMAND
/dev/snd/controlC0: horia 484 F.... pipewire-media-
/dev/snd/controlC1: horia 484 F.... pipewire-media-
/dev/snd/controlC2: horia 484 F.... pipewire-media-
/dev/snd/seq: horia 483 F.... pipewire

I have no idea what to do with it, or what it means tongue

Re: [SOLVED] Pulseaudio not recognizing sound card anymore

Ok so, I uninstalled pipewire-media and pipewire-pulse, did

 systemctl disable --user pipewire

rebooted and did

 systemctl enable --user pulseaudio

and still no sound
also

 sudo fuser -v /dev/snd/*

gives no more output anymore

Re: [SOLVED] Pulseaudio not recognizing sound card anymore

aplay -lL
pulseaudio -vvv

in

[code]code here[/code]

tags. You should normally see pulseaudio in the fuser output if it was properly started.

Re: [SOLVED] Pulseaudio not recognizing sound card anymore

Ok so I did

 sudo nano /etc/pulse/default.pa

and it seems my config was bad:

 load-module module-udev-detect sched=0

I just had to change sched=0 to tsched=0 and restart pulseaudio and now it works properly.
Thanks for your help!
