KDE window position on second monitor after wakeup [solved]

The problem I am having is when I wake the monitor up from sleep. All the windows on the second monitor are all lined up to the edge of the second monitor and not where I had them. I installed Manjaro to see if the issue exists there and it doesn't.
Does anybody have any ideas to solve this issue or how I can figure out what is different in Manjaro?

So I figured out this is caused by dpms and disabling dpms isn't an option.

Is there a way to solve this?

This was solved by add amdgpu.dc=0 to the kernel command line.

Edit:
One drawback with this solution is I lost hdmi/dp sound.

"kcmshell5 kded", see whether there's a kscreen service and whether disabling it helps.
The output will likely unregister on DPMS, kscreen udpates the configuration (because you just "removed" an output) and the window manager sanitizes the window positions.

Alternatively, test and delay the dpms "off" value ad infinitum

xset dpms force standby # windows moved?
xset dpms force suspend # windows moved?
xset dpms force off # windows moved!?!
xset dpms 360 420 0 # should™ avoid the "off" mode

I tried uninstalling kscreen and I thought it fixed the problem but it started happening with out it.
I also tried xset -dpms and that solve the issue until dpms turned back on. I don't have a clear understanding how this works yet.

xset dpms force standby # windows moved? = yes
xset dpms force suspend # windows moved? = no but the monitor doessn't turn off
xset dpms force off # windows moved!?! =no but the monitor doessn't turn off

I have a PowerColor Red Devil AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT on order and will see if I still have this problem.

Probably - it's most likely the Monitor (Model? You could also check whether this behavior is configurable)

It also *only* responds to DPMS/standby so efforts in being selective here won't work (kde/powerdevil/screenlocker will have their own settings fro DPMS, "xset dpms whatever" is transient, but you can configure DPMS in some xorg.conf.d configlet)
