Trying to upgrade I'm hitting this error...

I read this thread suggesting it may be new keys and tried the suggested pacman -S archlinux-keyring but no difference.
Tried deleting /var/lib/local/libreoffice-fresh-7.1.5.2 as I read in another thread it would trigger a fresh download but still no joy.
Any suggestions for what to try next and why this arises so I can understand would be appreciated.

Touch the file
touch /var/lib/pacman/local/libreoffice-fresh-7.1.5-2/desc
so that something is there that can be properly replaced. FWIW the path you mentioned to have tried deleting lacks the pacman between /var/lib and /local which could also be contributing to the failure.

Brilliant, thank you that did the trick although I also had to
touch /var/lib/pacman/local/libreoffice-fresh-7.1.5-2/files
...too.

That's my being crap and transcribing/typing and not copying and pasting.
