[SOLVED] Intel GVT suddenly broken (UHD Graphics 620)

Trying to run a windows 10 VM with intel GVT, which worked initially, but today I tried to run the VM with a custom qemu build and got an error stating that the virtual gpu did not exist. Checking dmesg I get:

[    3.392954] i915 0000:00:02.0: Direct firmware load for i915/gvt/vid_0x8086_did_0x3ea0_rid_0x02.golden_hw_state failed with error -2

Thought it was just a one time thing and restarted, but the error persisted.
So far haven't been able to find anything on it, or any explanation as to what error -2 is at all.

Maybe you need to use a better searchengine then.

Searching for Direct firmware load for i915/gvt/vid_0x8086_did_0x3ea0_rid_0x02.golden_hw_state failed with error -2 with DDG gives many relevant results , with the top one a thread on this forum that points to archwiki intel grahics page.

Nevermind, the original issue was of my own incompetence, was trying to access mdev_supported_types as if it was in root and got confused when it didn't show up, only figured it out after going through my fish history to see if i did anything differently.
