Hi, I'm currently working on my old laptop with Arch Linux and I wish to buy a new one soon, my question is, which is the best way to handle the data transfer from the old laptop to the new one.
I have two separate partitions, one for the user data and other one for the system.
Is a pretty good solution to back up only the user data under the /home/$USER/ directory to the new laptop and then reinstall all the programs/softwares/packages with pacman again?
Or is it better if I include in the backup also the directories like /etc/, /root/, /opt/, /bin/, etc... to preserve configuration files?
Thank you!
