Cinnamon: application icons missing (solved)

for some reason some of my application icons don't exsist for example
librewolf (in the screenshot) missing
chromium isn't
gscreenshot isn't
whatsapp client missing

this is a deal breaker for me help would be appreciated

edit: while checking if the reason is because whats missing is an aur package i installed firefox from pacman and the problem fixed itself all of the sudden very weird
