[SOLVED] Using Cecedilla when typing 'c

Hello,
I use the USA English International keyboard layout.
Some times I have to type in portuguese, for portuguese I do need a cecedilla that shoud apper when typing ' then c.
I've followed https://gist.github.com/nilo/c2a31a0f9f29c88145ca instructions and it worked for some applications like telegram and URXVT, but for firefox and gnome-terminal I'm getting ć.
Am I missing something?

Needs more info about your setup, might be some wayland fuckery though if I had to guess

Thanks for your attention.

No, I'm not using wayland.
What kind of information could help?
I'm using GNOME 40, nothing especial, just an updated arch running gnome on good old xorg.

You can edit your posts (link in the lower right corner) and replace them w/ eg. "<duplicate>" or so.
Also please don't bump.

Next up, don't copy random gists - the one you linked is terrible.
1. Don't overwrite /usr/share/X11/locale/en_US.UTF-8/Compose but use ~/.XCompose, https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Xorg/K … ompose_key
2. Make sure to there "include "%L""
3. set the IM to xim (all in the link above)
4. As a bonus, you could use the Multi_Key (eg. mapping caps lock there) and input w/ ,+c

I've just changed the /etc/environment to
> GTK_IM_MODULE=xim
> XMODIFIERS="@im=none"
Now it works.
