two things with the new kernel26 2.6.18-(5+6)

the first thing is,
if I insert a VCD (Data-CD is working) into my DVD- or CDRW-drive I get this
messagees in my kernel.log

-the media-manager in KDE doesn't recognize the new medium.
-xine plays back the movie
-and lshal -m says

storage_model_TOSHIBA_ODD_DVD_SD_M1802 property
storage.removable.media_available = true
volume_part_1_size_723406848 added

and the second thing is,
inside system:/media for my root-partition it says permission denied?

I'm almost sure, both things worked during the time with kernel26 2.6.18-4?!
