Export a CSS animation as multiple PNG

Hello,

I created a small animation using CSS, that I would like to use for a Plymouth theme, which uses multiple images sequentially.

I tried to use Firefox animation inspector, it's able to pause an animation and has a slider to manually move the timeline, but I can't set a precise timestamp.
Should I use a screen recorder then export the frames?

Thanks.

Re: Export a CSS animation as multiple PNG

I believe the most common way of doing that is just doing a screen capture of the browser window as the animation plays.

Otherwise, I found https://github.com/daybrush/scenejs-render which seems to do what you want using ffmpeg, but haven't used it myself, so ymmv.
