I have a ThinkPad X240 (20AMS0LT00) and usually scrolling with the touchpad is done with a 2 finger gesture. However when putting the laptop in sleep mode (Fn + 4) and switching back on, the scrolling is now done with 3 fingers.
A reboot is necessary to reset the 2 finger gesture, it used to be possible to reset it by using
sudo modprobe -r psmouse
then
sudo modprobe psmouse
but it doesn't seem to work anymore.

Issues on suspend wakeup are often up to firmware bugs, try updating your UEFI/motherboard firmware

None of which apply to my thread, it's been 15 days since I posted this I think a bump is reasonable. Thanks for the help nonetheless

You can't quote part of it and omit the rest of it all
Posting a single word or useless message (bumping) to attract attention to your thread is not allowed. Do your own research, continue to troubleshoot, post the results, and be patient with the community. If people are reading your thread without answering or offering help, you may try supplying more details, or ask to be pointed in the right direction.
All of which applies to your bumping post. Try/research more and post more useful information of your own troubleshooting rather than a bump.
