I have a thinkpad E14 on which suspend and reboot do not work. The system wakes up in 2-3 seconds when I suspend it and reboots whenever I try to shut it down.
I had posted about it earlier as well, but after arch and bios update it started working again. The older thread is here : https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=262860
After that, it was working for quite a time but then stopped working again. I suspected that an arch update might have caused it again so I tried rebooting with other linux distributions from a live usb stick, but still the problem persists.
echo freeze > /sys/power/state
works,
echo mem > /sys/power/state
does not.
System details :
Arch linux standalone installation
Kernels tried : linux, linux-lts, linux-zen
Other os tried : Kubuntu, Linux mint (from live usb)
Troubleshooting methods tried with main arch installation:
1. Disabling everything in
/proc/acpi/wakeup
2.
echo 0 > /sys/power/pm_async
3. Uninstalling tlp.
I have the dmesg and ftrace logs from the time it was working and also from when it stopped working, but I don't see any difference in the
dmesg logs and I do not know how what to do with the ftrace logs. These logs were generated from suspendresume tools described on
