[Solved] steam GUI broken in qtile

I recently switched to arch and thought I'd try qtile. My only real issue so far is using steam. Some parts of it's GUI is missing, and some text in different menus looks corrupted.
I've checked the arch wiki, qtile wiki and some other places. It doesn't seem like it mentioned anywhere on the internet.
My system's up to date and I've reinstalled steam multiple times.

solved it by downloading microsoft fonts
