After recent update, it broke my Qtile and xorg. Fixing it is another topic, for now, I want to rollback to my btrfs snapshots.
My root subv is “@arch” at top level 5. There’s a subv “snapshots” at top level 5, same level as “@arch”. I create @arch snapshot and store them in “snapshots”. I’m using systemd-boot as my bootloader. Normally, I just configure fstab and set correct default subv to make it boot correctly. But this time, I want to boot to a snapshot in side the “snapshots” subv.
First run, I try adding rootflags=subvolid=315 (in this case) before booting by press e, it boot into emergency mode, the cursor is blinking, but I can’t type anything.
Second run, I edited fstab to set subvolid=315 as root, and change default btrfs subv as 315. It also boot into emergency mode, nothing I can do. But, by adding rootflags=subvolid=256 (the original root subv) before booting, it boot to subvol 256 correctly.
As the title, how to make systemd-boot boot to a subv temporary? Is is the btrfs limitation, or systemd-boot limitation?
