Whatever you want.
i am not able to listen to any audio because i think i don't have pulse audio
Then start a thread about this issue, or just edit the title of this thread to indicate that this is what you want help with. But only after you have followed the wiki:

Why do you "think" you don't have pulse audio installed? Did you install it or not? Do you need / want it? If you want it and have not installed it, then install it now.
what are the essential things needed to make my xmonad wm a complete de
WM != DE. This is like asking what are the essential things needed to make a banana a complete fruit basket. You need to add whatever other components you want. But if you want a "complete DE" then you need to install a complete DE.
I gather from these questions that you followed a tutorial to install arch with xmonad, right? Which one?

If you're going to install pulse audio just a tip, the audio is muted by default so you will need to install something like alsamixer or some other tool to unmute the audio for the first time.
