broken rhythmbox ?

my rhythmbox crashes when i try to play songs with it...
here is the error:
" Failed to create gnomevfssrc input element; check your installation "

any idea ?

perhaps it just need sto be rebuild against the newer gnome packages?

make vfs need to be rebuilt ?

chech you gstreamer install...
run gst-register as user

Hi,

old thread but I ran to this problem today..
when starting to play songs in rhythmbox:

Failed to create gnomevfssrc element; check your installation

Unluckily for me, running gst-register doesn't help.

I'm running latest packages from current & extra

Any ideas?

update:

Running

 pacman -Sy gst-plugins-gnomevfs

and

gst-register

as user

changed my problem.. :-|

Now I don't get the error, rhythmbox just freezes and has to be killed.
