[Solved] I only see the flatpak version of Steam in Gnome-Software.

If I search Steam in gnome-software, I can only see the flatpak version.

(2021/09/29 update) Thanks to arojas, it has been solved.

What does that mean?

I mean searching in "Gnome Software"

It means pacman is your package manager.

https://archlinux.org/packages/extra/x8 … it-plugin/

Note: pacman output should always be read or you will eventually get a broken system. Using Gnome Software as a frontend for Pacman is a bad idea.

I do have installed it already.

I can find it with pacman and Pamac, but not in Gnome Software.
I like Gnome Software, because it is a part of Gnome.

No, Gnome is a completely separate project. Pacman works with Arch. That much is guaranteed. If you can't cope with that, install Ubuntu.

Don't copy out of the pager, redirect the output into a file or the clipboard.

Can you handle *any* pacman packages w/ packageshit - ie. is *only* steam affected?
Please post the output of

loginctl session-status

(and don't copy it out of the pager)

I only see Steam happens for now.

I only see Steam happens for now.

Do you get dubles for anything else that's available from the repos AND flatpak?

I'd guess that you don't have the multilib repo configured.
I take it you've already read the relevant wiki page?

Does packagekit use different config files?

At least for now, lots of apps can be downloaded from archlinux-arch-repository and Flathub(Flatpak) in Gnome Software Center.
I only see Steam has this problem.

How do I check that?
Installing gnome-software and gnome-software-packagekit-plugin should be done for it, it is how it is written in ArchWiki.

I must have enabled that repo, because pacman can install steam.
