I was curious if anyone here knows of (or owns) a USB SD card adapter that appears as mmcblk.
Just about every adapter I've tried shows up as a SCSI disk (i.e. /dev/sdX). With these adapters, I can't do discards on the inserted SD cards, which really annoys me. Most of the laptops I've worked with have an integrated SD card reader that does appear as mmcblk, but I'd really like a USB-A to SD reader.
I found this Unix & Linux SO page about this issue, but only chipset names were thrown around. Trying to find retail adapters that have a specific chipset has proved challenging for me.
