[BUG FILED] No audio, just Dummy Output & HDMI (unpluged) CHUWI UBook

Hi all,

I bought a CHUWI UBook All In One Tablet hoping to be able run ArchLinux on it and it seems to be working just fine except for the sound.

I have installed ArchLinux with Pulse Audio and KDE Plasma. The system boots just fine and brings me to the desktop, everything seems to be working, but the volume control appears disabled.

pavucontrol shows a Dummy Output device and a set of HDMI outputs, all marked as unplugged.

I've tried the usual "snd_hda_intel.dmic_detect=0" and "snd_hda_intel.model=auto" options with no success.

I've played with "hdajackretask" too, but haven't been able to get anything going there.

I've tried KDE Neon (Ubuntu 20.04) with same results, so I'm not expecting this sound card work on any other Linux distro, but I'm open to test any other you may suggest.

At this point I'm quite lost, I don't know what else to do, so I'm sharing the output of "alsa-info.sh" with you, looking for some help.

Edit 1: I forgot to mention I've also installed alsa-ucm-conf and sof-firmware packages with no changes after rebooting.

I installed linux-firmware sof-firmware alsa-firmware alsa-ucm-conf
I can only recognize Intel's hdmi sound card when using pipewire
I can't find any sound card when using pulseaudio

I also encountered the problem of pavucontrol shows a Dummy Output device and a set of HDMI outputs, all marked as unplugged.

I seem to have the same problem, but my device is JDBook14. I found that there is an audio card ESSX8336 from Everest Semiconductor Co. in ArchLinux that is not being driven

I ended up returning the tablet, so I cannot test/validate anymore, I'm sorry.

Not sure if this is the correct action, but I'm adding [BUG FILED] prefix to the title.
