Lost mouse scroll wheel support with libinput 1.19.0 update

Exactly as the title says: When libinput was upgraded to version 1.19.0 with my daily system update, Arch completely stopped responding to scroll wheel input from my mouse. Scroll wheel events wouldn't even appear in the output of libinput debug-events.

Rolling back libinput to version 1.18.1 and rolling xf86-input-libinput back to version 1.1.0 solved the issue completely. EDIT: Only xf86-input-libinput needs to be downgraded.

Also, the mouse is a Corsair Glaive and the keyboard is a Corsair K65. I'm using ckb-next, though disabling the ckb-next-daemon didn't work for me.

EDIT2: This is now fixed in ckb-next. With the updated ckb-next, updating xf86-input-libinput to 1.2.0 no longer breaks the scroll wheel support.

see https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=269787

which mouse? Did you test, whether going back to xf86-input-libinput 1.1.0 but keeping libinput 1.19.0 would resolve the problem (as it is the case over here)

I lost scroll after yesterday update too and downgrading xf86-input-libinput to 1.1.0 fixed it. I kept libinput at 1.19.0 My mouse is Corsair Ironclaw RGB

Same here, mouse is a Corsair M65 Pro.

Edit1:

if you disable "ckb-next-daemon" the scroll wheel will work. Looks like ckb-next will need to be updated.

Edit2:

It is fixed in ckb-next.

last edit:

the issue is explained here https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/xorg/dri … /issues/38 which could be effecting other hardware than just Corsair.

It is a Corsair Glaive, and you are right, only xf86-input-libinput needs to be downgraded.

I can confirm this.  xf86-input-libinput-1.2.0 works after updating ckb-next.

Re: Lost mouse scroll wheel support with libinput 1.19.0 update

I have an issue with libinput update with scroll wheel too. I can scroll but in the middle of scrolling in one direction the direction changes to the oposite and then again to the direction I'm scrolling. So the scrolling isn't smooth, but have hickups.
