Because I use is
Western Digital WD1200JD
WD1200JD, 120GB, 7200rpm, 3.5 Cun, SATA/150, 8MB
So install time I choose to use kernel26-scsi-2.6.3, and GRUB boot loader to starts up my ARCH LINUX.
On the other hand, my hardware compass draw be widnows xp and arch linux coexist in a hardware on, following
part1 -> windows xp
part2 -> swap
part3 -> Extension sector
part4 -> / to arch linux(reiserfs)
part5 -> Logical sector
So, I does not know be renewwing kernel after, still must proceed those amend action, just can normal startup .
**I English is not good, above description inferior to whether can understand.

I would not expect any change to grub.conf to be necessary. You did not change it at all between kernel 2.6.3 and 2.6.4?
I would suggest you post a copy of your grub.conf, and also set out exactly what error message grub is giving you

Renew time I do not see any error messages, choose to come into arch linux after at GRUB boot loader, do not see error messages too, but screen shows at
Booting 'Arch Linux [/boot/vmlinu26]

Could you try to explain the last sentence; I do not quite understand what you are saying here.
I suggested you post your grub.conf; sorry my mistake, you probably have menu.lst instead. Could you post the contents of that? (/boot/grub/menu.lst)
After the boot process appears to stop, is there any continuing hard drive activity - can you hear it or see the light flickering?

Looks OK. I wonder if the problem is connected with the use of a SATA drive. I am not familiar with the setup for these. Did you have to make any changes with the 2.6.3 kernel to get the SATA drive to work?
You could also try disabling acpi:
kernel /boot/vmlinuz26 root=/dev/discs/disc0/part4 acpi=off ro
Offline
1. i no changes any STAT dirver
2. use acpi=off, Still won't work
i try arch_base_0.6.iso
cp isolinux/vmlinuz_scsi /boot/vmlinuz26
just can boot, but uname -a is 2.6.3.
So, I supposition problem comes out at this vmlinux26(2.6.4)
