Hello,
I am trying to install Arch on an old Acer Aspire laptop which has no ethernet port, only wifi is available.
I have followed the wiki and everything is going fine but at the post-installation stage I have the error message: "could not resolve host: mirror name" when i try to install a new package.. I installed networkmanager and iwd during the chroot.
And now I don't know what to do
I hope someone can point me in the right direction.
Thanks in advance

You installed networkmanager and iwd, which one did you start and use to connect?

I have enable NetworkManager during chroot.

Did you actually make the connection with it?

I think. But I am not sure.
And I don't know how to check.

Not having really any ideas how to get out of this wifi problem, I decided to go through archinstall with network manager and the installation crashed with a number of error messages relating to the network (wifi).
I ended up relaunching archinstall without network manager and the installation is OK. After reboot and access to the KDE desktop I activated wifi with iwctl.
Good but there is still a problem somewhere that seems to relate to network manager and wifi.
When I installed arch on my desktop several weeks ago, installation from scratch (following the wiki installation guide), I had no network problem and I used network manager but I have a wired connection...

Ah yes I forgot: after activating the following 3 services and deactivating the other network services, the wireless network connection is OK.
wpa_supplicant.service
systemd-resolved.service
NetworkManager.service
