Audio drops out briefly when scrolling in another window

I don't even know how exactly to describe this problem, but it has been going on for a while. I have a fairly high end system: Ryzen 9 3900X, 32 GB DDR4 3200 mHz, Asus TUF X570 motherboard, nVidia 2060, etc. My multimedia is fully updated Pipwire stuff.

If I'm playing music, and I'm doing some kind of scrolling in another window, e.g., reading a Twitter stream, then when I scroll through that screen, the audio stops briefly along with the scrolling action, then resumes immediately. It doesn't matter whether I use the down arrow key, the page down key, or the mouse wheel to scroll. This is not a critical problem, but it is disconcerting and annoying.

Does anyone have any idea what is causing this, and possibly anything that could fix it?
